SilverTorch66 presents: 2016 Australian Kangaroo Silver Bullion Coin This Silver Bullion Information Video Series presents a new silver bullion coin, round or bar each week with its history, facts and my opinions. I realized that I was buying silver and really didn't know that much about it. The information is there on the bullion dealers page and all over the internet but you have to stop and read it! I rarely took the time to read the history and background on all this silver bullion I already own. When I did take the time, I was amazed at some of the stories that are attached to these coins, rounds and bars. So much history and culture is depicted in all the bullion we stack. So, I thought I would put together this video series to present these interesting stories and facts about the bullion in our stacks or want stack in the future. I hope you enjoy!
The 2016 Silver Kangaroo is the first bullion coin from the Perth mint to offer the 9999’S purity and the new security feature on the reverse to combat counterfeiting. The reverse of this silver coin features the famous Red Kangaroo, the largest marsupial in Australia, it was designed by Dr. Stuart Devlin. the depiction of the kangaroo is featured before a background of radiating lines and is shown hopping from right to left. The word “AUSTRALIAN” “KANGAROO,” “2016” and “1 oz 9999 SILVER” are also inscribed. • Each 1 oz Silver Kangaroo features a micro-engraved security feature to ensure authenticity and purity. Inside of the “A” in “Australian”, you will find a micro-engraved mini “A”, viewable only under magnification. This security feature is virtually impossible for counterfeiters to replicate, providing confidence that owners of this coin can rest easy they have the real mecoy…. • The obverse features Sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II . His right-facing portrait of Her Majesty at 70 years old pays homage to the longest raining monarch in Great Britain’s history. On a textured circular frame surrounding the effigy is “Elizabeth II,” “Australia,” and the coin’s face value, “1 Dollar.” My opinion on the Silver Australian Kangaroo:
