Our school: Robert Service School is located in Dawson City, Yukon, on the traditional territory of the Tr’ondek Hwech’in First Nation and home to the famous 1989 Klondike Gold Rush. We are a kindergarten to grade 12 school, and the only school in Dawson City.
Grade 5: Our grade 5 class is energetic, creative and loves to perform! They were excited to show off their “northern toughness” by posing for their photo outside in the snow wearing shorts and t-shirts. Some of our students began learning an instrument only 6 weeks ago in preparation for this video. Learning this song and coming together as a team to make the video was a huge accomplishment for this group. Thank you for the opportunity, CBC! We had so much fun.
