At our school we have been focusing on using music to bring people together, so decided to include families in our submission. Parents/Grandparents practiced at home with students, and showed up (with shoes on hands) to participate. Younger siblings (aged zero to four) provided enthusiastic bird/bee support. Theo, Sully and their creative mom Kim Pearl built the incredible Big Yellow Recycled Taxi. Generous dads Aaron Whitley and Eric Crosland created the beautiful video. Students made up all actions. The committed fifth grade Recess Rockers rocked away many recesses (and evenings at home) practicing instrument parts. As with all other musical endeavors, staff and administration were strongly supportive. We hope you enjoy our collaborative work of heart. Happy 75th and big thanks to Joni! Long live music education! Long live the trees!
